Hereis what I have tried: - Updating driver from device manager (I cannot even find a driver for my touchpad listed, even with hidden devices shown) - Finding a driver from Acer (no touchpad drivers listed at all for my model) - Pressing Fn + F7 multiple times. - Restarting the PC. - Updating. I would be surprised if the problem was physical

Re Install Linux Mint 18.1 on Acer Aspire Laptop. by axismundi Β» Fri Feb 10, 2017 10:22 pm. I booted the Win7 laptop and hit F2 a number of times and got the boot sequence. I then moved the Live/Install DVD up to the #1 spot and saved. When I exited, the DVD started loading and installing Linux Mint 18.1. Very clear instructions, etc.
